It took almost 3 months from the date that my small medical claim (under $200) was filed with Global Alert with all requested attachments. I called several times and kept getting told that it is a busy time for claims, and that they "appreciate my patience". They said that they are processing claims in the order that they were received, and that my claim was still in the queue. Even when they said that they would try to expedite the claim, nothing happened.
I finally contacted insuremytrip.com about my claim. I was immediately assigned a Customer Advocate by insuremytrip. She talked with Global Alert/TripMate on my behalf, and I have finally received my check from them. It took 2 weeks from when I contacted insuremytrip until I received the check.
I am glad that I purchased the insurance through insuremytrip, since they advocate for you in case of a problem.

Fortunately, nothing happening during my expensive trip & cruise to Dubai- Abu-Dabi to use the coverage I purchased.
But I red a lot of reviews from a satisfied customers and only can say, that it was easy to purchase and coverage was understandable and the price was better than from the other companies.

The plan was fairly priced; however, I was a bit upset that the option to cancel at any time for any reason was not available because we hadn't purchased the plan at least 14 days after purchasing our trip. I think this rule should be revised. There should be no deadline!

We appreciate your purchase and review of the April Travel Protection, Choice policy. Comprehensive policies offer various high risk benefits. These high risk benefits include: Pre-existing Conditions Waiver, Cancel for Any Reason, Cancel for Work Reasons, and Financial Default. Because the insurance carriers are taking on these high risks, they require that you purchase within 10-21 days of your initial trip payment date. This is an industry standard. However, with most policies, you are able to purchase the coverage for your initial trip cost and then add to the policy as you make additional purchases. This ensures that you receive the time sensitive benefit(s) that you are looking for, and are also able to purchase within the time frame required.
