Horrible & Rude Insurance Company..
DO NOT USE!! Where do I begin with this horrible company as well as awful customer service?!?! We had planned a trip in June 2022, to Belize. Bought, what we thought, was good travel insurance. On the day of our vacation (6 hours before our flight), Delta airlines, canceled our trip TWICE. Resulting in us NOT able to make it to our destination. Sadden, we (4 of us) came back home. immediately contacted the insurance company and they told me to file a claim. So I did…6 long months later, we were told our claim was denied, because "they do not cover flight cancellations"! We have waited
so long on this horrible insurance company that now we are NOT able to even get our money back through our credit card company. So now we are out of a vacation and the money...$4000 for the resort in Belize is all we were asking for. If I could give Arch RoamRight zero stars I would. My advice to anyone out there looking for a good travel insurance…..DO NOT PURCHASE ARCH ROAMRIGHT!! They will take your money, string you along and be very rude to you in the process.

Arch Roam Right is a terrible company. They look out for their own interests, not the interests of their insureds, and attempt to deny claims by re-writing their policies after the fact so that they can deny your legitimate claims. Beware. We are avid travelers and will never use their insurance again, and are in the process of filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Most of the reviews I've read here seem to mention not having to actually USE their purchased coverage. I am writing as someone who has had to use the coverage and has been fighting a ridiculous fight to get reimbursed. To try and make it brief, I'll just say they have been making me jump through many hoops and that It's been going on for 6 months now. Each time I submit what they ask for, they come back to me with something else I need to send in; all in an effort , I'm sure, to wear me down and have me say the heck with it. This has happened 8 times now, to the point where my travel company told me they never heard of a travel insurance company demanding what they were asking for in order to process a claim payment. After supplying all the information, on a $6,000 claim, for which I paid an additional $1300 for the insurance, they reimbursed me $60 for myself and $60 for my husband. I have now started an appeals process. It has been 4 weeks and I have not heard a thing from them, not even an acknowledgement that they received my email and then again a subsequent email I sent asking for receipt confirmation. I will contact my local consumer advocates and also the state attorney general for assistance. DO NOT PURCHASE TRAVEL INSURANCE from ROAM RIGHT. I CAN'T STRESS THIS ENOUGH!!! That is unless you want to have an excerise in total frustration only to be ripped off in the end anyway. They are crooks.

I did not make this trip! Prior to the departure, I canceled, which you state in the policy, c complete refund. I was advised of a refund of only a few dollars. Not worth pursuing. Not good!

    Thank you for your feedback. Here is the refund information per the certificate of your policy:

    "You have the right to cancel the Policy at any time by giving advance notice to Our Agent or Us (stating when thereafter the cancellation shall be effective). We will refund any unearned premium to You within 10 days of cancellation."

    Since your policy was effective for the trip cancellation benefit for approximately one year, the pro-rated refund was just a fraction of the entire premium.

I will never insure with this company again. Have purchased several trip policies and made one claim this year due to illness. Always had to call in to find out the status. Took forever. We site showing status is worthless. They denied the claim according to what isn't covered obviously hidden in their 34 page policy. Customer service was not helpful every time I called. Like pulling teeth to get information.

We experience multiple flight delays, lost baggage and even missed our cruise embarkation.
The online process is very cumbersome and they ask for ridiculous information "like a copy of your homeowners" policy when "trying" to fill out a claim. The process is very difficult and there are tons of information outside of the basic information you'd assume they'd require for a claim. Unless you fill and download the entire form, it will not even let you submit any of it. I called and emailed Generali's customer service several times with no help. In fact, I was pretty much told my claim would probably be denied without even submitting it. Even though, we missed our ship and had to fly into a different port than embarkation with no luggage to catch the ship the second day. I really feel they make the process so difficult on purpose and offer little help or concern if you call a representative. I basically just gave up! even though I had much proof of the delays, lost luggage, car rental to port and missing the embarkation. Waste of money!!!

Generali Global Assistance Standard
Generali insisted that we could not receive reimbursement after cancellation due to a medical condition. The condition was a sudden increase in falls while walking that occurred around the beginning of May , end of April. The treatment needed was purchase and use of a cane, prescribed by a physical therapist. Doctor visit was not necessary, although we did follow up later with the doctor, after cancelling the trip. I consider the refusal of coverage to have been borderline fraudulent.

How are you supposed to make a claim
When no-one answers the phone, or responds to emails. I have sent 3 emails and called 5 times and not a single answer. This is unacceptable! I took this policy based on a Clark Howard recommendation, and if I can’t make a claim, then what’s the point!
