Had my wallet stolen on my second day in Paris, I was a little disappointed that all they could do was replace my wallet. I lost my wallet and the few cards I had with me and 100.00 in cash. I do understand you have no prove of what is in the wallet, just had to get it off my chest.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. You raise a good point, not all items are covered under the lost/stolen luggage benefit. It is important for customers to review their policies before they depart. Here is an excerpt taken from the Travel Insured Worldwide Trip Protector plan: “Baggage and Personal Effects†means goods being used by Your during a Covered Trip. I purchase the trip insurance for piece of mind. We came close to filing a claim, but were able to work around the situation. In Washington D.C. we encountered a weather related tight connection and had a half hour to get from one side of the airport to the other. We just made the flight, but our luggage didn't. We arrived in Paris early Sunday and continued traveling to Avignon by high speed rail. My wife's bag arrived on Tuesday and mine on Wednesday. It would have been difficult to purchase clothes and amenities since we were in a small town and most businesses are closed on Sunday and Monday. We were able to get some amenities from the cruise operator and the couple we were traveling with. My cabin steward was able to launder my clothes at night. One more day and I would have to buy clothes. The airline also offered some coverage.

It took a bit to collect all the necessary items before submitting a claim for the journey we had to cancel due to medical reasons. But the insurer came through pretty promptly and paid the entire amount claimed.
