We were glad to be protected. Friends of ours had a medical problem before the cruise, but did not have insurance. They chose to go on the trip rather than forfeit their trip payments.

AXA Assistance USA Gold
I wish Insuremytrip would have a program/incentive for returning customers where discounts are applied for future trips. I understand the importance of insurance should something happen but the cost of a 10K trip is just out of line with exposure.

    We understand that it would be very appealing to have an incentive program set up. We wish we could! Unfortunately, insurance laws make discounting insurance illegal, so there is no way for us to put a program like this into action. Did not realize that all aspects of trip even if they were refundable by the provider, had to be insured in order for the pre-existing conditions waiver to be in effect.

    Thank you for your feedback on the policy. For residents of Maryland who purchase the RoamRight Essential plan, the exclusion for Pre-Existing Condition will be waived provided:

    1) The policy is purchased within 21 days after making the initial deposit/payment for your trip; and

    2) You insure 100% of the cost of all travel arrangements that are subject to cancellation penalties or restrictions by the travel supplier; and

    3) You or the individual with the Pre-Existing Condition are medically fit to travel when the policy is purchased; and

    4) The booking for the trip is the first and only booking for the travel period and destination.
