C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector
Lengthy review process and incompetent claims agents exacerbated the time it took to review my claim and only paid out a portion of the claim. I provided the claim form and supporting documentation, including an excel spreadsheet with sufficient detail the first time I submitted the claim. The agent requested said claim form and said documentation nearly two weeks later and then offered a portion of the claim about a week later. Look elsewhere.

    We are sorry to hear that you are disappointed in the claim process and apologize for any inconvenience that you may have experienced. You first submitted your claim on 10/17/2018, but your check was not issued until 11/12/2018. That is a little longer than Crum and Forster Travel Insured's usual turnaround time of two to three weeks. In addition, you submitted your claim under Travel Delay which has a maximum limit of 1,000 USD (200 USD per day) for each traveler, so if you were delayed for only one day, your maximum reimbursement would be only 400 USD for two people.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector
I purchased this plan for our October 2018 Florida vacation. I have always purchased travel insurance for beach trips during hurricane season, but I have never had to use it. A week before we were supposed to arrive, Hurricane Michael hit the Florida panhandle and caused a great deal of destruction to the area we were going. No power, no water, roads destroyed, rentals damaged. I submitted my claim on 10/12 and received my reimbursement from Travel Insured International on 11/13. I have no complaints and I would use this company again. Always read the fine print on any travel insurance before you buy and make sure it covers what your concerns are. I will continue to use Insuremytrip.com.

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Essential
Our trip was a 7 day cruise. On the day we boarded the ship, my husband wasn’t feeling well. He wasn’t getting better and we both had fears he may need to seek medical assistance. Fortunately, he was feeling better by the third day and recovered fully. We were both relieved to know that we had purchased travelers insurance to cover medical costs that could have been incurred. The peace of mind is well worth the cost!

Travelex Travel Select
I had to file a claim for a canceled flight. The paperwork and documents required were a bit much and after uploading the documents there is no where to see what you've uploaded. My claim remained pending for 3 weeks and it wasn't until I called to check that it got approved.

Generally our insurance providers ask that claimants allow from 10 to 15 days from the date on which you submitted the final document to your claim settlement.
