We had to cancel our trip three days before our scheduled departure date due to illness. I filed a claim on Monday, and turned in the required paperwork on Wednesday. I heard on Friday that our claim was approved, and by the next Tuesday morning the full refund was in our checking account. I was very impressed with the customer service and quick response. I definitely recommend this company!

My major concern when I travel are potential MEDICAL costs and I wonder whether I should limit myself to just this portion of the insurance......

This is a review of Trutravel Insurance Company. My name is Steve. I don't write many reviews, but had to write this one. Don't pay attention to reviews from people who never filed a claim. This is about an actual claim.
About six months ago, I had a new laptop stolen from my hotel room in Eastern Europe. I notified Trutravel of the incident after I got home, expecting that they would find a loophole to delay and avoid paying the claim. Instead, I promptly received a courteous call from a very professional representative requesting documentation. She clearly explained what she needed; I then submitted the documentation, and was promptly reimbursed for the full value in about a month. I highly recommend this company and have already used them again.

it is always a good thing not to have any problems. I had used the you a few times in the past but this trip was more expensive thus the cost was higher. It still gave some peace of mind for the unexpected.
