According to them the only thing that's covered is if you drop dead or immediate family member drops dead for trip interruption. My trip was interrupted to unforeseen medical emergency that prolonged my trip for me and had to stay in Mexico to released by doctor. When I call them the guide me they basically said too bad so sad. On a recorded line supposedly. So don't get fooled by what you read that they cover cuz they don't it's a scam . Do your homework before you purchase.

IMT Travel Accident Plan
A trip begins when you leave your home. I was very disappointed to learn I was not covered during all phases of the trip, including all air travel whether in my home country or not. I would not purchase again unless commercial transportation inside my home country, USA, was included.

    Thank you for your comments pointing out that the IMT Travel Accident Plan was not written to provide flight accidental death coverage while the traveler is within United States airspace. The plan states that "Coverage will begin at 12:00 A.M. Eastern Standard Time on the latest of the following: 1) The date the Company receives a completed application or enrollment form; or 2) The moment Plan Participant exits their Home Country airspace; or 3) The Date the Company approves the Application; or 4) The Date requested by the Plan Participant.
    Coverage will end at 11:59 P.M. Eastern Standard Time on the earliest of the following: 1) The date Plan Participant is no longer in an Eligible Class; or 2) The date the Plan Participant returns to his or her Home Country unless otherwise covered under the Plan Document; or; 3) The expiration of 365 days from the Effective Date of Coverage; or 4) The date shown on the Schedule of Insurance issued by the Company."

    We do offer plans covering Flight Accidental Death and Dismember (AD&D) within and outside United States airspace on our website. This coverage may also be available for an additional premium under some of our Comprehensive Coverage Plans.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector
Its been a month since I submitted my claim, no response by email and no call back when I entered the virtual que.I realize they are busy currently, but some kind of response to any of my email and submissions over 30 days seems reasonable.

Update:
after 2 months, I did get an email asking for proof of the refunds I was able to get on my own of the total trip cost. I submitted that the same day.
after 5 months, the insurance company somehow got my airline tickets refunded by the airline which was nice since they were supposedly non refundable. They never communicated with me about it, just got the credit from the airline.
After 6 months, I still have a small deposit I had claimed and should be paid but I've heard no communication from the insurance company despite repeated attempts on my part for contact.
Additional update: their web site had changed several times and I finally found an update on my case there which shows the claim was "closed" 2 months ago. With no communication to me nor any response to the multiple emails I have been sending in the meantime.
I will certainly NOT recommend this company.
Final update: with the assistance of insure my trip, I finally got my claim paid. The lack of communication from the insurance company made for a very frustrating and time consuming process. I'm very pleased that Insure my trip stepped-up and helped me.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector
we booked our travel in May 2019 On June 3, 2019 we purchased insurance. In 1st week of Sept 2019 I received an email that my flight is cancelled by AeroMexico. So I had to go ahead and book my flights again which cost me around $1,500.00 more than the original purchase. I contacted the insurance co they asked me to send them all the proof which I did. for 2 weeks I did not receive any correspondence from the insurance co so I decided to contact them to find out about the status of my claim. The lady that I spoke to told me that this kind of flight cancellations are not covered under their policy. moreover the insurance that I purchased is not refundable plus even though we are flying on the same dates to the same destination the insurance that we paid for does not cover us any more.

I started filling a claim and,
The process for filling a claim if downright horrific. They make it SO hard that I ended up not finishing it.
I have two more trips booked and had purchased another policy for my upcoming trip. Needless to say, I canceled it .

I contacted a representative because I had a concern that could have bound me over in Mexico for a couple more days. I learned that hotel accommodations were not covered by the policy, although it stated they were when I purchased the coverage. I will not be using BHT again, due to this false advertisement.

    After reviewing this a little further, depending on the reason for staying a few extra days, some lodging expenses may have coverage. I cannot guarantee but the language in the plan states:

    If Your Trip is delayed at least 5 consecutive hours from the original departure time and prevents You from reaching Your intended Destination the Company will reimburse you for only one delay per Insured, per Trip, up to the Maximum Limit shown in the Schedule. The Trip Delay benefit will cover Reasonable Additional Expenses until travel becomes possible to the originally scheduled Destination, as a result of a cancellation or delay Your Trip for one of the following Unforeseen events:

    (a) Common Carrier delay;

    (b) You or a Traveling Companion have lost or had stolen, your passports, travel documents, or money;

    (c) reasons listed under Trip Cancellation and Interruption.

AIG Travel Travel Guard® Preferred
The festival organizers canceled the event. We were told by Peggy that we could suspend our coverage until the new event in 2024. A representative of AIG responded to my request with a "No" that's not possible. I feel ripped off by AIG in addition to the people at Music Fest Events.

    I’m sorry to hear about your recent trip cancellation. While we cannot suspend your coverage indefinitely, you may qualify for a policy modification. In order to make a change to the travel dates listed on your policy, you must submit a formal policy modification request before the scheduled return date on your policy. The new travel dates cannot be more than one year beyond the original travel dates. Your new premium will be calculated based on the details of your rebooked trip. If the new premium is greater than your original premium, there will be additional premium charged. If the new premium is less than your original premium, no amount of the original premium will be refunded. Please note that once you modify your policy, you will not be able to file a claim against the original policy or trip. To modify your insurance policy, please click here.”

I almost always purchase trip insurance and have done so for over 20 yrs. Fortunately, I have only had to file about 4 claims over many years, with the prior 3 reviewed and paid quickly. This was my first experience with this company ("Trip Mate" was the claims administrator for this company) 1st, reply to my claim took much longer than my other claim experiences. The company requested more documentation during the process, which I provided, then was ultimately denied. I challenged the claim (again, after a long wait) and still payment was denied. The claim was a medical expense, and being an ethical doctor in the medical field knowing what care was required, I was able to keep claim amount to a minimum. ALL REQUESTED documentation was provided, but company decided to "interpret" plan provisions in their favor. Not enough of an amount to bother with anything legal, just disappointing ... Will pay a little more next time and go with a larger company.

    The TravelSafe Classic plan covers up to 100,000 USD per person for unforeseen, accidental injuries or emergency illnesses, which first occur during the insured trip. Only covered expenses incurred during the trip will be reimbursed. Expenses incurred after the trip are not covered. Please note that this is travel insurance industry standard.

Quite dissatisfied with the overall experience with RoamRight. My trip to Cabo San Lucas was canceled due to Huricane Ordile in September 2014. I immediately contacted RoamRight for assistance. They were extremely inefficient and very poor with follow through on my claim. The claim was processed incorrectly the first time (which took just over 3 weeks; 4.5 weeks to receive the initial reimbursement). When I followed up with our claims adjuster (Chris Edwards) for clarification he said he would need to re-open our claim and investigate further. As an additional three weeks has passed, I followed up again and have received no update at all. The whole experience has been beyond frustrating and RoamRight has been less than helpful. Although I feel that traveler's insurance is necessary I would not recommend Insuremytrip or RoamRight for your insurance needs.
