Fortunately we did not have to use the plan, so do not know how satisfied we would be if we had to use it?
Overall, I feel that the plan is on the expensive side, would like to see it 25% less than what I paid for. Will look harder for better value in my next trip.

    Travelex calculates their Comprehensive plan premiums based on trip cost and the age of the travelers at the time of purchase. Please note that Travelex also offers a Basic plan that is less expensive than the Select plan. Although the Basic plan has lower limits than the Select plan, it is still underwritten by the Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance which has a A++ AM Best Rating.

I had to be hospitalized during my stay and I contacted InsureandGo right away. They said they would take care of the payment at the hospital. Then when it came time to pay, I could not contact them. It was only after I had paid (out of pocket) and left the hospital that they emailed me and said they "would have paid". After this email assuring payment it took 2 weeks of daily phone calls and emails to finally get a response and process my reimbursement. This plan may work well for small things, but if you get in a large monetary problem do not expect this company to be accommodating.

Seven Corners Roundtrip
Although we did receive payment for a medical visit whilst on our trip, we were not very satisfied with the customer service.
We never received any communication that our claim documents had been received or any indication of how long it would take for the claim to be processed. Also, the promise of the collect call to notify Seven Corners when the illness occurred, was not fulfilled. We were in Thailand and had the hotel place the call. The concept of "collect call" obvious not recognized and we were charged $12.00 by the hotel. Seven Corners denied reimbursement despite our submission of proof of payment.

    The CSA Travel Protection Custom does exclude coverage under Baggage for "...telephones, computer hardware or software... However, cell phones are usually a standard exclusion in most travel insurance plans.

Since I did not have to request reimbursement for a filed claim because I went on the trip, I don't know if this would have been a good deal.

Generali Global Assistance Premium
Having to buy insurance for travel adds to overall cost of travel. I don't like having to do it, but i feel that if I don't buy and something happens and I don't have coverage then it can potentially cost more. I've been buying comprehensive travel insurance for the last ten years and luckily I haven't needed it, so i can't really say how good this or any travel insurance product is, but it does give piece of mind while traveling, so for that, it's good.

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Essential
On my way to Bangkok I chipped my tooth and I was not going to have it repaired there as the places where not to my standards. When I came back to the US I made an apt. with my dentist to get it repaired and found out that it is not covered. Bangkok is a 3rd world city and the thought of having my tooth worked on there was not an option for me. I feel like this should of be covered but was told it is not.

    Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry to learn that you chipped a tooth during your trip and are dissatisfied with this policy. The claims administrator is required to adjudicate claims based on the terms and conditions of the policy. With any travel insurance policy you would have to seek treatment during your trip for it to be considered a covered expense. Once you return home, the policy will terminate.

    Per the Covered Expenses definition in your certificate: "Reasonable and Customary Charges incurred while insured under this Certificate; and that do not exceed the Maximum Benefit limits shown in the Confirmation of Coverage, under each stated benefit."
