We were delayed over night because airline cancelled. Insurance covered meals and lodging. I was very disappointed they refused to pay taxi fare to/ from airport. I highly suggest you request taxi fare as part of trip delay. Thank you.

The InsureAssist TravCan plan offers Trip Delay that includes reimbursement for "(b) Any reasonable additional expenses incurred" as a result of a Common Carrier delay. The policy defines Additional Expenses as "...any reasonable expenses for meals and lodging which were necessarily incurred as the result of a Hazard and which were not provided by the Common Carrier or other party free of charge." This definition precludes reimbursement for the taxi under this policy.
In the future, should you wish to find a plan that would reimburse additional transportation expenses such as taxis from the hotel to the airport under Trip Delay, please call Customer Care at 800-487-4722 for quotes.Feb 11,2016
