Do Not Buy this! It was a waste of my money. It should never be listed as an acceptable/authorized insurance to meet the requirements to obtain Costa Rican QR code for entry. Better go buy the “approved” policy so you don’t get the giant headache I got frantically trying to buy the right insurance at the airport!

Global Alert! Preferred Plus
I cancelled my trip the morning before my flight and Global Alert would not refund my money even though I provided proof of cancellation and did not file any claims. I would not use this company again for any future trips that I have planned.

    Unfortunately you must cancel your trip before the departure date on your policy and show proof of no claims and no penalties to be able to use this policy for another trip. If you had canceled within the 10 day free look you would've received your monies back less the administration fee.

Very dissatisfied with the customerservice of the plan and how they were handling my case. They asked in addition to the claim package to sign additional forms, then they started to send letters asking for more redundant information. Getting in-line to talk to representative on the phone takes 10 mi, there is no shortcut if you call second time. They called my travel agent 3 times. I needed to call insurance agency at least 6 times. I filed a claim 3 months ago and I still didn't get my money, although I provided legitimate medical information. I will not recommend this plan to anyone.

Had to cancel for medical reasons months in advance and notified hem with two MD documentations & all paperwork immediately in Jan and have finally received two checks just now (after fighting with the help of Insure My trip customer assistants to get as much of my money due (still short $75 they say they do not have to pay). They don't contact you back, they don't follow through and after hours of holding on the phone, they hang up on you and don't call back or finally get a person and they receipt script words to your questions that are the same for everything and don't answer anything you are answering. They didn't approve all charges and then gave me a little of that extra money owed and said that was it. Terrible and lie to me and treated me terrible! Did not follow their contract. Travel multiple vacations ayear and always have insurance and anytime I have gottn sick while on vacation and had medical expenses, had to cancel or anything, it was paid immediately and with no issues from other companies. DO NO USE THEM!!!! THEY DISERVE TO BE SUED AND PUT IN THEIR PLACE WHICH IS NOT ALOWWD TO DO BUSINESS ANYOE AND PAY FOR INTEREST AND SUFFERING OF ALL THE PEOPLE THEY DID NOT DO WHAT THEY WERE SUPPOSE TO OR DO IT IN A TIMELY MANNER.

Generali Global Assistance Preferred
Insure My Trip has been absolutely no help in getting my issue resolved (cancelled trip and refund request) and Generali Global Assistance has proven to be more intuned with keeping my money than helping to resolve my issues during the Pandemic. My wife and I cancelled the cruise to Aruba back in August and informed Insure My Trip. I was told that I had to go thru Generali Global Assistance to get a resolution. After multiple non returned calls to them I have given up ever getting a resolution. I will say that Insure My Trip was NOT very helpful and I will never get another Generali Global policy.

Generali Global Assistance Vacation Rental Damage Plan
I had to cancel my trip the morning we were set to depart due to COVID. I was unable to cancel my insurance coverage despite never taking the trip because you don't allow same day cancellations. This is stupid because check in time for our stay was 4pm. You assumed NO risk but kept all my money. Thanks for nothing.

I did have an accident and called them. Feel the plan I purchased was definitely worthless. They were not at all helpful either. I am in the medical field and understand insurance and should have realized how they wrote the policy to not include anything.

Generali is a complete racket. I have been tying for weeks to follow up on a claim and all they do is give me the run-around. Obviously they don't want to pay out the claim so they are ignoring me and hoping I'll give up. What a bunch of crooks. Will never use Insuremytrip or Generali again.

Came down with covid and also a secondary infection.
I call a representative who initially called back but I was being examined by a doc and asked to be called back.I was never called back even after reaching out a view times..I have now incurred doctor bills and lodging I lost and had to pay out of pocket ..This company failed to provide me with coverage I paid for..
