The whole insurance-purchase process through insuremytrip.com was very smooth. I particularly liked how easy it was to add additional coverage as I made additional payments for cruise installments, airline tickets and shore excursions. I had to submit a medical claim with RoamRight, and the claim was handled promptly and correctly. Make sure you save all of your receipts. I will definitely be buying trip insurance from insuremy trip in the future.

I personally know of 4 people that were evacuated from this one cruise alone. I'm fortunate that it wasn't needed by my party, but it's reassuring to know I had coverage if it was!

I filed a trip interruption claim because of a terriost attack in Istanbul. Celebrity decided not to stop in Istanbul and I had to make other flight arrangements which cost an additional $581.00. There was a clause that said the terriost attack had to happen a month before my departure and that Roam Right was not responsible to reimburse me. Celebrity did compensate $300. And I filed with Roam Right for $281. I guess insurance companys always have clauses that prevent customers from getting money back.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. As stated, trip interruption as a result of a terrorist attack is only covered if the attack occurs within 30 days of the travel dates. This is because the travel insurance is designed to protect travelers against unforeseen incidents. If an incident occurs more than 30 days prior to traveling, it is no longer considered unforeseen.

It was a good feeling to know that we were covered during our trip. I do have question about the plan. If included would the plan cover any excursions purchased on the cruise. A suggestion, it might be worth reminding vendors to make travellers aware of the need to purchase insurance as soon as they put a deposit down.

You can include the cost of any excursions as long as the expense is prepaid and non-refundable. If you book the excursion after you purchase the policy, you should call us at 800-487-4722 to advise us of the increase in trip cost so that we can quote you the additional amount due, if any.
You are correct in stating that travelers should be aware that most travel medical providers include the preexisting condition waiver if the plan is purchased within 10 to 30 days of the Initial Trip Payment. Although there are some plans that go by Final Payment, their cost is generally higher than those plans that go by Initial Trip Payment.Sep 05,2016
