I had medical treatment during our trip. I informed AXA before we got home and received a claim form. I filled it out and sent documentation (not difficult) and within a week I was informed that my claim was approved and I would receive a check within 2 weeks. Great service!

The service was somewhat slow because of my confusion as to where to send the claim. But I am satisfied with the outcome. I think the company was fair and I will recommend this service to anyone in the future.

Thankfully, we did not have to file a claim but knowing that we were covered for any emergency made our trip more enjoyable. It was easy to increase the coverage to a higher amount of coverage when we decided to extend our cruise another week.

I had no problem increasing the value of this plan as I added elements to my planned trip during the year. The representatives that I spoke with were always able to give me the increased cost of the items I wanted to have covered.

I had to appeal three times before $40 of my $120 claim for expenses incurred as a result of baggage delay was allowed. They didn't think the cost of transportation to get to a store to purchase needed clothing was reimbursable. People I spoke to on the phone had no authority to deal with the claim. The documents sent to me referred to me as "the patient" on what was obviously a medical insurance form. I think the claim was finally allowed only because I was stubborn and persistent.
