We needed to come home earlier than planned because I was ill and needed to see my Dr. In Mpls. I was unaware that the insurance would not cover costs for changing airline ticket, partial rental of condo...because I did not seek medical treatment in Florida. I am being treated by my Dr. -after returning to Mpls. and have tests scheduled. I would not have taken out the insurance, had I known this limitation. It should be brought up when talking to someone from your company about a policy initially. I called after returning home and was told I wouldn't be covered because I didn't see a Dr in Florida.

Thank you for your comments on pricing. Your policy premium was determined by the age of the travelers, prepaid and non-refundable cost of trip, length of trip and (on some plans) destination. You actually selected the second least expensive Comprehensive plan that was offered on our website. Your policy cost was approximately 10% of your total policy cost which is actually in range for your age group.

I'm glad that I purchased the insurance, but thank goodness I didn't have to use it. I would guess that the real test would be how a claim is handled.

Fortunately, everything involving my trip went extremely well; even hurricane Joaquin went on his way away from the East coast of New England. I am grateful I had peace of mind by purchasing this policy, that life would remain manageable should any number of various situations turn otherwise. A small price for peace of mind, indeed.

For all of the Comprehensive travel insurance plans offered on our website, the insured person must see a physician during the trip due to an unforeseen, accidental injury or emergency illness, and secure a note certifying that they must interrupt their trip in order to have a payable Trip Interruption claim.
We advise that customers call the insurance provider immediately after an event occurs in an effort to prevent potential claim issues.
