a little too expensive for domestic travel I thought, and i wasn't sure if "cancel for any reason" was worth it if you still had to notify within 48 hours... i'm not sure why there should be any penalty for notifying even up to the hour of travel, you still don't get back 100% of the cost of trip anyway; isn't it only 75% or so?

I'm always pleased with the comparisons and information provided by Insuremytrip. I don't think, however, that one can ever rate an insurance company well unless one has a claim. They're all excellent if there are no claims.

Luckily, I haven't needed to file a claim with this company, but my sister and her husband did due to illnesses that kept them from cruising and with a minimal amount of paperwork, their money was returned in a reasonable amount of time. I will not buy cruise insurance from anyone else now. Thank you!

The cost of the plan was reasonable.I thankfully didn't have to file a claim for my recent trip.
I did have to file a claim 5 or 6 years ago and there were no problems at all.

I had purchased "cancel for any reason" protection for a recent trip. When I cancelled the trip and filed a claim, I received a prompt email asking for documentation of my lost deposit. I explained that some of the documentation wasn't applicable and sent in the rest. My claim was reviewed and paid very quickly.

The C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector Plus is a benefit rich policy. In addition to the standard comprehensive policy benefits, this policy also includes Cancel For Any Reason, Interruption For Any Reason, Cancel For Work Reasons, the Pre-Existing Condition Waiver, and Political and Natural Disaster Evacuation.
Cancel for Any Reason gives a traveler the flexibility to change their mind and decide not to travel. No reason would need to be given. However, trip arrangements must be canceled more than 48 hours prior to the departure date. The reimbursement would be 75% of your trip costs.
