Didn't have any reason to use any of the plan benefits - so can't say for s sure how good it is/was. The proof is in the pudding - had no pudding. But it seemed like a good plan compared to others I looked at.

claims filing process including documentation requirements were excruciating! Way too much data/documentation required for the size of the expense being reimbursed.

It was easy to arrange this coverage on line. Fortunately we had no reason to file a claim, so I can't really speak to how well we were covered in a real-life scenario, but it seemed comprehensive for our needs.

Best thing I ever did was pay the $200 for insurance through InsureMyTrip.com. trip for our trip to Denver last February. We wound up in a United Airlines computer switchover NIGHTMARE which cost us thousands because we had to purchase new tickets in order to return home only one day instead of two days late. We sent in all our records once we had them, and Travel Insured reimbursed us the maximum amount for $500 per traveler - which covered all but a few dollars of our additional costs! Very very happy with them.

As a result of Hurricane Irene my family and I were stuck in Florida for 5 extra days due to our return flight being cancelled. Travel Insured paid out as promised. My only issue was that the check took about a month to be issued. This was a concern for us as we had to pay for the extra 5 days on our credit card and the credit card due date was approching quickly! Otherwise I would definetly recommend!

I am happy that I did not need the insurance because everything went well, but I had a Plan B if things did not work out well. One of my fellow travelers needed to be helicoptered out of our remote location. I hope that she had insurance.

I would have preferred that a copy of the policy be sent in the mail as opposed to my having to download and print it. Our trip went fine so not able to evaluate coverage.
