This is the second time I've purchased trip insurance through CSA and while I've never needed to use it, I've felt more comfortable knowing I have coverage should it be needed. I like the fact I can customize the coverage for my needs and where I'm going to be traveling. I would not hesitate to purchase this protection again.

It's really too expensive for people who make plans but have doctors who keep changing their medicaions, etc.

    Thank you for your feedback on the policy. CSA charges a higher premium on the Custom Luxe plan because they are exposing themselves to a greater risk. The most cost effective way of securing coverage for pre-existing conditions, is to purchase travel insurance within 10-21 days after making your initial trip deposit.

Fortunately, I had no need to use my policy or file a claim. But I thought the value I received for the price paid was excellent, and the customer service representative was very helpful when I called for advice on buying the policy (ie, did not try to up-sell and provided clear explanations of the different options).

The claims process dragged on and on, nitpicking on the part of the claims representative, insisting repeatedly for the same acknowledgement of payment by the air travel company. Finally paid but they even questioned that I had paid a cancellation fee on the air in order to avoid a ticket loss three times as great that CSA would have been responsible for. Made no sense whatsoever. I have no idea whether all of CSA works this way or just this particular adjuster.

Last trip there were delays and we missed flights, got stuck in airports, had to spend the night, etc. CSA covered everything, no problem (of course, you've got to save all your receipts and get paperwork from the airlines on the delay and be very patient).

This time we had no reason to collect, all in all that's the better answer!

I'll keep using them - good peace of mind!
