When I travel I usually check with INSURE MY TRIP and use CSA to insure my trip. Has the same protection at a better price than the tour will provide. Have not had to make a claim yet but it is there for the big ticket items if needed and at a reasonable price.

We've never purchased traveler's insurance in the past, but due to my mother-in-law's recent health problems, we thought it would be a good idea to do so this year. We feel very blessed that our vacation was able to take place and that we did not need to use the insurance.
After purchasing the insurance, I heard some horror stories from some of my teacher co-workers about claims that they had to make and quite a hassle to get the coverage they paid for. I'm not saying that this is your company's insurance, but traveler's insurance in general. So, now I'm left wondering if I should purchase in the future.
