Unfortunately my wife took ill and needed emergency care aboard the ship during our vacation. The ships doctor and nurse were terrific and when we contacted the insurance company they were just as good. We had to wait for our Medicare Supplement to handle their part of the claim and as soon as we received our E.O.B. we forwarded a copy to CSA Travel Protection. In a reasonable period of time we received our check. We're so glad that we took the insurance.

The cost was more reasonable than most and seemed to offer more benefits. The determining factor was offering a contact phone number in the event of emergency in addition to the contract details. This company stood above others in confidence level. I am a person who missed a trip years ago without travel insurance so I appreciate the peace of mind coverage offers.

Luckily, we didn't need to use the trip insurance, but have had to in the past. I choose CSA just about every time because of our previous experience with them. I also always recommend InsureMyTrip and CSA to other travelers on vacation.

This is the second time we went with CSA. The first time in November 2013, my wife broke her arm during a fall on the ship and was seen at a hospital in the Bahamas. We kept all the paperwork and filed a modest claim for less than $800, and CSA paid it quickly.

The cruise prior to our boarding had an out break of the intestinal virus on the ship that involved 80+ passengers. We had to wait a couple of hours to board the ship while they sanitized the whole ship. Thankfully we didn't hear of any cases on board the two weeks we were on board. While talking to other passengers on our cruise there were stories of past cruises where people were so sick that the medical people on board told them they really needed to get off the ship and seek medical treatment on shore. At hear that I was glad that I did have the trip insurance. I always buy the trip insurance and with the price of this policy I will check with Insuremytrip again.

While watching the helicopter land on the pier at Haiti I was wondering if the poor guy from our ship had insurance. I'm glad I purchased insurance, it gave me peace of mind.
