Some family members an I had a trip planned and insured the flight portion through CSA. Unfortunately, I broke my

I contacted CSA, filled out all the paperwork and we received a refund on the "change fee" for the airline, with the choice to use the remainder of our cost as credit against another flight or receive a full refund. The CSA personnel I talked to were professional and helpful in answering my questions. I would not hesitate to use CSA again to cover non-refundable air fare.

This was the first time we'd ever had to file a claim. My husband's father died just before our trip. CSA was responsive, quick, and we got everything refunded that we claimed without hassle. Great service!!

my wife suffers from depression. she has been fine for quite awhile but she recently suffered a setback after our trip was planned. we had to cancel,our claim was denied because they do not cover psych problems!. I guess now they can pick and choose illnesses as they see fit. depression is an ILLNESS, so they discriminate!

I didn't need the plan and that is about the best thing anyone can say about travel insurance.
I think it is very misleading that if you purchase something like your plane tickets on one day and select your travel package on another that they require you to have purchased the insurance plan within a set time from the first date you booked any element of the trip (to receive full benefits), rather than the last.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. The best time to purchase travel insurance is right after you put money down towards your trip. Some policies include time sensitive benefits which are but not limited to pre-existing condition waiver, financial default, Cancel For Any Reason and Cancel For Work Reasons. Most plans require that you purchase a policy within 10 - 30 days of your initial trip payment, and insure all prepaid non refundable trip costs to receive these time sensitive benefits.
One of the many perks of the CSA Travel Protection Custom Luxe plan is that the pre-existing conditions waiver and Financial Default coverage can be obtained prior to making the final trip payment (the biggest payment towards the trip).

The CSA Travel Protection Custom plan does not cover claims related to: mental, nervous, or psychological disorders of you or your Traveling Companion. This exclusion is a standard exclusion in most, if not all travel insurance plans. In the future, please consider calling us prior to purchase to discuss the plan exclusions.
