Thank God, we did not need your protection plan while on our trip, as everything worked out great. Just knowing we had the protection was a comfort while on the trip. As to what would have happened if we had needed your response will never be known to us, thank you.

During our trip a suitcase was stolen. We filed a claim for our loss. CSA took a month to settle this claim. They required an itemized list of the contents of the suitcase, including the price of each item and the date each item was purchased. CSA depreciated each item 10% per year. That is reasonable. But they also reduced the claim by 25% because we did not have purchase receipts for each item. Does anyone keep receipts for clothing they buy? Expecting receipts is not reasonable.

I can't imagine anyone keeping receipts for each item of clothing or accessories packed in a suitcase. This seems unfair.Aug 09,2011 -

I feel the actual coverage [was] probably adequate for any eventualities, but the web site to evaluate the available plans was very difficult to use to compare the plans. I would dread having to use it again any time soon. Nice to know there was human back up available by phone, however.

purchase was easy enough. Coverage offered met our needs at a price we were willing to pay.
Luckily we did not have any problems on our trip so we did not have to use the insurance. However we did use the insurance several years ago and were pleased with the way our claim was handled.
