This plan offers comprehensive Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption coverage if you have to cancel or interrupt for one of the listed covered reasons. It seemed prudent to buy insurance for a 2-week sight-seeing and safari trip to South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana. I looked around and found an affordable plan here. (I think I used them when we went to Peru 5 years ago.) No problems either trip. It seems the biggest risk on this trip was catching something from a chronic cougher on the same trip, but we avoided her as much as possible. It'd be interesting to know how insurance might've helped if we got sick while there (or shortly after returning).

My wife and I were going to be out of the country for a couple of weeks and I needed to find a plan that would cover our travel expenses in case an older family member, who was not going, would prevent us from taking this trip. Most plans' pre-existing condition, would kick in even though that Family member was not insured. That could mean I would not be able to recoup my travel expenses. I needed the assurance that if anything happened, before or during our trip, I would be financially compensated. The people at InsureMyTrip, help me find the right plan.

I had a VERY large kidney stone the week we were scheduled to leave and we had to cancel our trip. I filed a claim for everything that I could not cancel. They paid all of the claim and within a few weeks. I will use them again.

Our first and second flights from Atlanta to South Africa were returned to Atlanta due to mechanical difficulties with the plane. We had to cancel all our travel plans in South Africa. CSA reimbursed us for everything that we had to cancel in South Africa. (The airline covered the cost of the flights.) We will certainly use CSA in the future and recommend that everyone use travel insurance.
