It lets you make an educated decision for the big ticket items like cancelled or delayed flights and illness that can impact the entire trip. We were very fortunate that we didn't have to use any of the policy that we purchased for our U.S to New Zealand trip. I wouldn't have traveled that far and for the length of time we were gone without the policy.

A comprehensive plan was required for the trip we were taking to subantarctic islands off the coast of New Zealand. The plan we purchased contained all of the necessary elements for our trip and was cheaper than equivalent plans. That is the operational definition of a good deal.

Had to cancel trip due to ill mother, claim was not paid, said she had a pre-existing condition, She's 90, all her conditions are pre-existing!

The CSA Travel Protection Custom plan does not exclude coverage for pre-existing medical conditions for non-traveling family members.
