The Global Alert Preferred plan offers comprehensive Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption coverage if you have to cancel or interrupt your trip due an unforeseen covered event.
There were several promises to follow up on my claim but no-one ever called. It took two and a half months to receive the payment and there were no problems!! We submitted everything in a timely manor and then just waited without knowing if Global Alert was alert or not!!

Requesting a Customer Advocate is as simple as calling 800-487-4722 or emailing [email protected], explaining the events which resulted in a claim, and the challenges you are facing.
Glad to have the trip insurance for peace of mind while traveling. Difficult to rate satisfaction as did not have a claim to base it on. However, Customer Care representative was excellent & helpful.

I felt the plan was very reasonalbly priced, the best I could find. The person to whom I spoke with regarding this plan was fully knowageable and easy to talk to. She answered all my questions and more. I will most definitely use this servcie again on my next trip. Thank goodness I did not need to, but on my recent trip there were a few people who had to use their medical insurance. One just doesn't know what may happen. Knowing one is insured for the unexpected is most important and an item that cannot be missed.
Thank you for your wonderful service. Even though I did not use it, I know if I had to I'd not have to worry.

Was disappointed that I could not get a plan specifically for the trip portion since I already had the medical evacuation portion of the trip covered. And, that is the reason why I rated the plan as I did.

My wife had health issues and so had to cancel her part of the trip, though I continued. I filed a claim for $1400 with all required information at the end of May. Upon returning home, after nearly 2 months of inaction and only cryptic notes given in the online claim status report, I called customer service at TravelClaimsOnline.
The representative could not explain the delay, especially during 3 weeks of June when no status entries were made. She also pointed out that for some unknown reason, the claim number was changed without informing me, so I could not know any of the latest status updates anyway.
It is now the end of July and the claim status report of the new number on the day after I called said, "final payment printed". The check finally arrived two months after filing the claim and much confusion.
I made a claim to another travel insurance company for a separate trip that I had to cancel due to my wife's health issue. It was also obtained through InsureMyTrip. The claim was processed in 2 weeks. I will use this company again!
