The Global Alert Preferred plan offers comprehensive Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption coverage if you have to cancel or interrupt your trip due an unforeseen covered event.
Did not use but very reassuring that we had the coverage. Would be a nice feature if you would give repeat customers a break on the next coverage or a small refund if not used. Just a thought. 🙂

Took 2 months for them to pay a simple 1 item claim $200 claim on $20,000 worth of coverage.
Poor customer service response. Lots of excuses. Sometimes they did not return customer service calls. No way to email the claims dept.

This was the first time we purchased trip insurance. We are now in our 70's and we were leaving the country and it was an expensive trip. There was actually a death on our cruise. The insurance gave us peace of mind. I carried a copy of the page summary of the plan in my purse everywhere we went on tours of different countries. I will do it again when we travel afar.

As a claims adjuster, I was shocked at the poor customer service provided. Personnel didn't understand the policy or coverage. Could never speak to the claims representative. Complete documentation submitted on a relatively simple claim and yet it took over two months to be paid, and only when insuremytrip interceded.
