The Global Alert Preferred plan offers comprehensive Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption coverage if you have to cancel or interrupt your trip due an unforeseen covered event.
There is no way to accurately gauge a plan unless and until you actually need to use it. This plan APPEARED, through its coverage documents, to have covered everything, but, thankfully, we didn't need to find out how well the plan really performed.
Do we have "buyers' remorse" for purchasing it? NO. Would we purchase it again? YES. Can we accurately comment on how well the plan covered us (or would have covered us) in the event that we had actually had to file a claim? NO. So, completing this survey is actually pretty pointless.

I bought the plan due to having a sick relative. Otherwise, I wouldn't have bought it, because I think the price is too high for the temporary coverage which is provided. The best result was that I didn't have to use it.

Comprehensive plan premiums are based on the age of the travelers, trip cost and length of trip. Although you purchased an excellent plan, you may wish to call us for your next trip since there may be plans that are more competitively priced.
Customer Care is available weekdays from 7:00 AM to midnight EST and weekends from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
Fortunately we did not have a need for anything covered by the policy but it was good to know that it was there in case something would have happened. We made reservations for a cruise a long time in advance of the trip and it was good to know that if something unexpected happened we would not have been out the money for the trip.

Had to cancel for medical reasons months in advance and notified hem with two MD documentations & all paperwork immediately in Jan and have finally received two checks just now (after fighting with the help of Insure My trip customer assistants to get as much of my money due (still short $75 they say they do not have to pay). They don't contact you back, they don't follow through and after hours of holding on the phone, they hang up on you and don't call back or finally get a person and they receipt script words to your questions that are the same for everything and don't answer anything you are answering. They didn't approve all charges and then gave me a little of that extra money owed and said that was it. Terrible and lie to me and treated me terrible! Did not follow their contract. Travel multiple vacations ayear and always have insurance and anytime I have gottn sick while on vacation and had medical expenses, had to cancel or anything, it was paid immediately and with no issues from other companies. DO NO USE THEM!!!! THEY DISERVE TO BE SUED AND PUT IN THEIR PLACE WHICH IS NOT ALOWWD TO DO BUSINESS ANYOE AND PAY FOR INTEREST AND SUFFERING OF ALL THE PEOPLE THEY DID NOT DO WHAT THEY WERE SUPPOSE TO OR DO IT IN A TIMELY MANNER.

As a scuba diver, this coverage reasonably accepts the sport in its policies and extends all of its coverage to the insured.
Costumer service has also been professional and efficient. I have insured my last 5 trips through Global Alert! Preferred and will continue to do so.
