Provided a great deal of confidence that my wife would be financially protected should I meet an unanticipated and unlikely accident/death. At first, I was not going to tell her that I secured such a policy, but later changed my mind. I'm certain that she felt better from knowing. Listing all the plan's options online would've been helpful (and making sure CSRs are fully informed about the products). When I called, I was told by more than one CSR the available options would not cover me for parts of my specific trip (climbing/mountaineering above 14,000 feet). I was then told a few days later by another rep that there was an option that would cover me for all of it, including climbing above 14,000 feet (we were climbing to just under 20,000 feet, on Kilimanjaro).
