In business since 1926, Nationwide focuses on providing the best possible service for its customers. Nationwide travel insurance plans offer a range of innovative benefits for a variety of travel needs.
While traveling overseas, I was bitten by a dog and will require reconstructive surgery on my face.....My bills for emergency treatment and drugs in a developing country were only $25. They will cover that, but not any follow up care that I need. Worthless! If you travel to a developing country, don't bother with this insurance, medical care is cheap, if not free, and you won't get any help once you get back! I will not be purchasing this insurance again.

We are sorry to learn of the accidental injury that you suffered. The Nationwide Essential plan provides coverage up to 75,000 USD per person for unforeseen, accidental injuries or emergency illnesses which first occur during the trip, and are treated by a physician during the trip. If medical treatment is not obtained during the trip, and the traveler waits until returning home to the United States, the travel insurance expires and is not responsible for the medical bills.
