I recommend to everyone who suffers from pre-existing medical conditions to insure their trip, with Nationwide or other insurance providers that offer a pre-existing medical condition waiver. The unpredictability of a medical emergency is what prompted me to get the insurance. I'm grateful I did not have to use it, but had peace of mind knowing that I could if I had to.

The coverage under the plan was adequate for my needs. This is the third time I have purchased the plan for a trip. I have never needed to file a claim.
My problem was that the price had risen considerably since I last purchased the TruTravel Super Saver plan. From January 2013 to July 2013, the price for the exact same coverage has inexplicably tripled. I will look for a different insurance for my next trip.

My golf clubs were delayed almost 3 full days on the return trip. I did not realize that they were covered for only the outward leg. I would have wanted it for both ways and would have paid extra for it.

Most policies say baggage delays only covered outward bound. They figure you can live with your own stuff once you get home. Makes sense.Jul 31,2013
