Our travel often involves using credit card miles program reward travel for airfare, car rental, etc. This insurance does not cover losses of those expenses. These trip insurance companies need to figure out a way to do so, as this is no doubt a common scenario and an untapped business opportunity.

As the long weekend progressed, weather and traffic got bad during our last day, we felt secure in knowing that our trip delay was covered should we not be able to get out that last day. We felt a ping at one moment about our luggage being held up in the Customs mess at Atlanta Airport, and knew we were covered. It made the holiday mess and snow on the other end of the line just another amusement during the most traveled day of the holiday crunch.
