Did not need to use the insurance though we did have a flight disruption that led to a missed connection. The airline paid for overnight stay and we were placed on airline flight the next day. Had no real financial loss except could not use accommodation one night in destination city, Melbourne- however our daughter had to use it. Glad that had the coverage just in case and feel fortunate that did not have to use it.

Having the insurance gave me peace of mind should anything unforseen occur. The online process was easy and certain coverages where included that I hadn't considered.

There are different ways to define a specific coverage. My modest ($50) claim was dismissed on a technicality which I feel did not take into consideration the actual purpose of the coverage.
Therefore this insurance company has lost my future business.
And I will verbally discourage anyone I know from doing business with them.
A customer service person could contact me - if something were going to be changed however I am not interested in spending time listening to so-called "reasons".

Customer Advocates are representatives assigned to assist customers who experience issues after filing a claim. Requesting a Customer Advocate is as simple as calling 800-487-4722 or emailing [email protected], explaining the events which resulted in a claim, and the challenges you are facing.
You are correct in that this policy was not designed specifically for visa coverage. When looking to fulfill visa requirements we recommend that you give us a call and speak with a licensed representative. We did not need to file a claim, so not able to comment on the process. Policy did provide us peace of mind for a trip that was relatively expensive with a lot of travel variables. Would consider using them again.
