We did not use this since everything went as planned without problems. I would only recommend buying insurance after speaking directly to a person. I tried doing things online and had some issues. I found out I could not put my son and myself on the same plan. The agent was very helpful and carefully explained everything and found me the the best plan for the best price.

We had a trip and baggage delay on the return portion of our trip. Nancy handled our claim efficiently and effectively. It was paid in less than 30 days. However, a portion of our claim was not covered because the baggage delay only covered the outbound travel. Our delay occurred during a leg of our return flight. We flew from London to Dulles and were supposed to fly from Dulles to Home. Unfortunately, a problem occurred with air traffic control and our flight was cancelled until the next day. The airline would not give us access to our luggage. Read your coverage very carefully. I assumed baggage delay would have covered all parts of our trip.

Most policies will have baggage delay coverage on the outward journey only.
We strongly recommend customers read the terms and conditions of the policy within the review period to determine if the policy fits your needs. We had no problems on the trip and have no claims. It's hard to rate a plan that was not used, but I picked the plan as it seemed to provide the best range of coverage for a cruise.

Although we never had cause to file a claim, we felt more secure and comfortable traveling for 3 weeks knowing we had reliable insurance coverage. We used insuremytrip in the past and filed a claim at the last minute for health reasons, and were reimbursed the full amount paid for our trip. In order to insure travelers under the same Comprehensive policy, the travelers must all live in the same state. In addition, travelers with different travel dates must purchase separate policies.
