Plan coverage was very good. Could be more specific when it comes to COVID coverage and being primary instead of secondary for many of the covered benefits.

Do have a concern - had a potential claim for delayed luggage (did not meet full criteria so was not covered), but when calling Nationwide at the number "For Filing a Claim" on the policy sent to me by InsuremyTrip (888-490-7606) the rep could find no record of my policy, and more concerning no record of me even though I have purchased more than one Nationwide policy through InsuremyTrip. The rep said she was with Trawick and that my policy # should be all numeric, but mine was alpha-numeric starting with "NWE." Because I have purchased other policies for future travel, I want to be sure that InsuremyTrip is passing along all the correct info to me and to Nationwide in the event I do have a claim on a future trip. Who can help resolve that as to why the Cust Svc # with Nationwide has no record of my policies? Thank you.

InsureMyTrip.com and Nationwide are actively looking into the reason why you were misdirected upon contacting claims to prevent it from happening to other customers. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.
Never buying it again, would not cover refunding son's portion of an excursion due to him being injured the evening before while on an excursion, told me to not even bother making a claim. In advance of making the purchase, they said not being able to make an excursion for ANY reason would be covered, then after they hid behind their fancy language and said it was only covered if the parties could not continue on the ENTIRE vacation, not just the one excursion. I asked a LOT of detailed question in advance because we were buying 2 very expensive excursions directly from the vendor, vs through the cruise line and making sure the excursions were covered was one of the key items we wanted to confirm.

Thank you for your review. All policies have listed covered reasons in which you can file a claim for reimbursement and they require documentation in order to be able to file a claim. In the event of an injury, or sickness, that affects a traveler and the trip you will need documentation from a doctor and documentation from your travel supplier showing how the trip was affected. In the future, we suggest contacting us or the assistance center if something happens while traveling and we can best assist you with understanding what to do. We look forward to assisting you in the future.
Due to a family emergency we had to cancel our trip. We thought that we were well enough insured but sadly this was not the case. Cancellation due to an injury or illness of a non traveling person was covered by the insurance, but only if that person is living in the USA, Mexico or Canada. It would have been nice if this was mentioned in the "small" letters before you purchase the insurance plan, or anywhere on the website. Only after purchasing the plan it was mentioned in the paper work that nobody ever reads! Costumer care was not helpful at all and only said: "you should have read the 20 plus pages after you purchased the plan". I think this kind of information should be more clear before you buy a plan.

This provides you with the finer details of the plan such as definitions, coverage's and exclusions. We suggest customers review the certificate to best understand their coverage. After shopping around I found this to be the best value. I did have an issue with my trip and spoke to a representative who was very strait forward with what is covered and what is not. They were very helpful. I ended up having a great vacation and it was comforting to know I was covered if a medical situation arose while I was out hiking, biking, zip lining and river rafting. Thankfully I did not have to make a claim to the insurance.
