How can i tell if I'm satisfied. I didn't file a claim. I checked many plans and this one covered the items I wanted covered and it was the lowest price one to do so. Without filing a claim, I can't rate the service.

I checked "dissatisfied" because you asked me to rate something I couldn't and then didn't allow me to forward it without choosing an answer. There should have been an NA.

On the way out to my destination the airliner had some in flight problems and had to return to our city of departure on that leg. Vienna is a really expensive city and all my co travelers were worried about a $250 per night hotel room. It turned out that the airline paid for it but I never worried a bit. This insurance Rocks !
I'm never leaving town with out it.

The process of buying the insurance cover was very easy, but because we do things a little differently in UK, as our main criteria was to have our pre-existing medical conditions covered we didn't completely understand how the system would have worked had we had cause to use our insurance. We will need to use you again, so is there anywhere on your web site that explains the three year rule.

When the policy refers to a pre-existing condition period, in this case 3 years, that means it will not cover any pre-existing medical conditions in that time. For example, if you filed a claim for reimbursement of a medical bill, the insurance company would request 3 years worth of your medical records to look for a pre-existing medical condition.

It was easy to purchase the plan and to print out the policy online.

I decided to get travel insurance with Seven Corners because the insurance offered by SmarTours travel company didn't quite meet my needs. Then my trip to Japan, April 2011,--which was insured by Seven Corners--was canceled by SmarTours. The SmarTours company offered full refund--including the cost of their travel insurance--to all participants. However, Seven Corners basically said--sorry no refund (!)--but you can transfer insurance fee to another trip--IF you come up with the new travel dates before the date the Japan trip would have taken place--which was only a couple weeks away! Fortunately I had a cruise coming up in Sept 2011 and hadn't decided on insurance yet--so was able to transfer the payment to that trip. If I didn't have that trip already planned I would have lost the entire cost of the insurance on a trip that had been canceled (by the travel company--not me!) and no insurance claim filed. Perhaps this is standard procedures with most travel insurance companies--I don't know. Just something to think about when deciding to get a different insurance than the one offered by a tour company...

Each policy does have a specified amount of time called 'free look period' in which you can return your policy for a refund of premium. In this case it was a 10 day free look period. Once you are outside of that time frame the policy premium is considered earned by the insurance companies. There are situations like these where they will allow the insured to move the policy to another trip.

I have never , fortunately had to file a claim but have used the plan several times and am satisfied with it, especially the premium cost.
