My Credit Card covers trip cancellation but not medical. This is a perfect economical solution to the missing component for trip insurance. It is my second time using them and their customer service agents are always helpful...

We lost our home in the California wildfires and the many loops they put us through to try and create paperwork we did not still have as it was burnt in the fire was so very distressing to us. There was little to none empathy from the company. They made us feel that we were not being truthful with them. Will never use Travelex again and will be passing the poor service that we received to all our friends and family.

I am disappointed in the plan. I feel that your exclusion to cover mental health issues as a cause for cancellation is discriminatory. My wife did not plan her breakdown so we could get money back on the trip. It happened at an inopportune time as health issues can do. If she had a "medical issue" such as appendicitis or a broken leg we would have been reimbursed but due to the bias that surrounds mental health in this country we were denied. A health issue is a health issue, be it medical or emotional, and all should be covered.

The Travelex Travel Max plan does have the following exclusion: mental, nervous, or psychological disorders, except if hospitalized. This exclusion is a standard exclusion in most, if not all travel insurance plans. In the future, please consider calling us prior to purchase to discuss the plan exclusions. We strongly recommend customers read the terms and conditions of the policy within the review period to determine if the policy fits your needs. Thankfully i didn’t have to use my policy.
Just knowing I would have help if anything had occurred was a burden lifted off my shoulders. It was important to me that someone could speak the language and intercede on our behalf.
I downloaded the app on my phone so had my information with me all the time. I definitely will purchase this “peace of mind†policy in the future.

We chose this plan because we have elderly parents and were concerned that we may be called back home should they become ill. Fortunately we did not need to make a claim, but we enjoyed our trip more knowing that if something came up we were covered, and would have help making arrangements to come home.

We cancelled our trip due to a back injury that required surgery and rehabilitation. The claims process was completely transparent and the customer service was excellent. We were quite satisfied with the entire process and would recommend Travelex for your trip.

Please keep in mind that insurance is highly regulated. In order to validate coverage, completed claim forms and documentation are an important part of the claim process as it relates to the specific conditions, as listed in the plan purchased. Once all documentation was received, the Claim Representative promptly assessed the claim and payment was released on November 20, 2017 (within 6 days). We have confirmed that both checks were cashed in December 2017.
