There are two values to buying travel insurance: 1) the very rare possibility that you will be reimbursed for an adverse incident, and 2) peace of mind. We did get peace of mind. But with credit card coverage and homeowners insurance coverage, the additional coverage may not have been worth the cost.

Somehow I forgot to purchase travel insurance before my trip. I remembered that I needed to do so when at the airport. This plan was the only one that I could find through an internet search that allowed me to purchase travel insurance on the day of the flight. Purchased the insurance on my smart phone just an hour before my flight. Most appreciative of this fact.

The complete insurance coverage with all details should be emailed asap. I was in the German Embassy when I signed up on my iPhone - but could not get complete info (the repatriation details) in the emailed pdf. The German Embassy nearly rejected my petition, but gave me time to fax it later.

Yes I would recommend. I would ask that your emails during coverage period be kept at a minimum. You sent too many which tap into international data plan.
