MEDEX TravMed Abroad will refund premium at any point prior to effective date on the policy. The credit to the insured in this case was the premium, not for trip cost.Jul 13,2011

It was a last minute decision to purchase this plan primarily for the medical part due to the e.coli outbreak in Germany. Didn't have any problems, didn't have to use the plan but at least had piece of mind if something did happen.

It's hard to rate the plan at this late date, six months after we enrolled, since I can't remember the details of the coverage and we did not need to file a claim. The cost seemed reasonable for the coverage provided.
