I found myself scrambling to extend coverage when Hurricane Irene caused our flight to be canceled, and I needed to wait abroad for three days for a new flight. The plan should automatically extend if return to US is delayed by a flight cancellation. I won't always have Internet service to extend the coverage.

Was able to get coverage the day before I left. Thankfully I did not have to use the insurance but I was happy to know I could if anything happened.
