I did not use the MEDEX TravMed Abroad plan. However, next time I will add on other important factors like delays, lost luggage, etc. The person that I called at InsureMyTrip to get the plan prior to going to Scotland was extremely pleasant and helpful. This does make a big difference.

The coverage offered by the GeoBlue Voyager Choice plan was just what I needed; emergency medical without limitations regarding pre-existing conditions. I didn't realize that making my initial trip purchases more than a few weeks before purchasing travel insurance would eliminate many coverages.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. The GeoBlue Voyager Choice plan is a Single-Trip Travel Medical Policy which does not exclude coverage for pre-existing medical conditions.
Comprehensive policies, a different type of travel insurance, typically require customers meet specific criteria in order to waive the pre-existing conditions exclusion. These conditions are generally:
1) Purchase the policy within 10 to 30 days of making your initial trip payment.
2) Insure 100% of the prepaid and non-refundable travel related expenses prior to your departure date.
3) Be medically fit to travel the day you purchase the policy.May 18,2015

We felt FrontierMEDEX provided good coverage at a good price. Fortunately, we did not have test the claims satisfaction process. We do plan on using FrontierMEDEX on our next trip overseas.
