I decided to purchase the HCC Atlas International policy on the morning my cruise ship departed. Coverage began when it left the port. I had forgotten to buy coverage earlier and was happy to find this policy, even though I didn't need to file a claim. Peace of mind was worth the low price!

Nothing can ruin your trip more than finding out you have a kidney stone prior to departing. I was grateful to find this insurance policy which did not have the traditional pre-existing condition exclusion that most policies have. It gave me the peace of mind to know I could relax and enjoy what turned out to be the vacation of a lifetime. No issues while gone, but was good knowing I was covered if there was a flare up.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. The GeoBlue Voyager Choice plan does not have a Pre-Existing Condition Period and covers a sudden recurrence of a pre-existing condition up to the maximum medical limit selected. However, it is still advised that you read the policy to review the exclusions that do apply.Apr 13,2015

While I forgot to purchase plan at beginning of trip reservation, I did find this coverage which would have helped at least for emergency medical expenses. We were fortunate not to have used it, but had a peace of mind that it was there.
