The year before when I purchased a plan we got some emails telling us about coverage, how to file a claim including contact numbers and other useful stuff. After this plan was purchased, we didn't hear anything after the premium was collected.

This confirmation includes the purchase details, contact information, and schedule of benefits. Purchased to satisfy the anxiety of one of our group, your plan worked well. High quality hospital emergency services are very inexpensive in Croatia ( we have used them twice in two years for a total cost of $150 ), we carry travel insurance only for severe trauma/evacuation situations.

Someone else on our trip suffered a stroke on the last day of the trip and had to stay in Croatia. I will have to think about that whenever getting insurance in the future.
