The Preferred plan is a comprehensive travel insurance plan offered by Arch RoamRight and has several options not offered on the Arch RoamRight Essential plan, allowing for a more customizable product. In addition to trip cancellation and delay, the Preferred plan offers coverage for one child per paid adult, accidental death and dismemberment coverage, trip interruption, medical and evacuation coverage, and 24/7 assistance.

This policy was purchased originally for another, more expensive, trip. When I cancelled that trip, I thought that the $900+ I had spent on the policy would be forfeit. Pleasant surprise, my policy was transferred to my new trip, and a refund check was sent for the difference in cost of the two policies. That is treating a customer fairly.

Easy purchase of a plan with the "cancel for any reason" benefit we wanted. Cost was a little more than typical but within reason. Fortunately, we did not have to utilize the plan.

i WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT WHEN I HAD TO EXTEND MY TRIP A FEW DAYS I COULD NOT EXTEND MY INSURANCE, EVEN IF I GLADLY PAID EXTRA!!

Thank God I didn’t have to use it but it was nice to know I had it. The only thing that could make it better is having it in effect until you leave. If your boss said the day before, you can’t go, then it would not cover you.

Purchased a "Cancel for Any Reason" plan to cover our flight back east for a family reunion because at the time of booking we knew we had some circumstances that might impact or trip. Unfortunately we did end up with a situation that required one of us to cancel and rebook to a later date while the other had to cancel the trip completely. RoamRight was easy to contact and helpful in directing us on submitting our claims. The on-line claim process made submitting the claims simple and quick - and they were processed by RoamRight in a pretty timely fashion. We had reimbursements for the amounts the policy covered in a very reasonable time frame. Have the coverage certainly helped make a "bad" situation less "bad". We will definitely be looking to use RoamRight for future travel. While we prefer to not have circumstances that would require a claim, we'll have peace of mind knowing that we're covered if we do.

I haven't submitted a claim because the amount spent on a doctor visit isn't much more than the deductible and not worth the time to fill out a form. What was very useful to me was that I had a number to call to find out about medical services in Florence, Italy. You supplied me with information in a timely manner and followed up later. I am very satisfied with the service provided.

-Assistance was not available in the evenings or weekends when I needed it.
-I was aware of the 75% refund rate on my "Cancel For Any Reason" policy. It really wasn't advantageous to have this policy because the airline charged $200 to cancel the $659 flight and would have given me a credit that equaled 75% of the ticket value, I won't buy insurance again since it ended up costing me more to have insurance than just cancel the ticket.
