This is the second time I purchased insurance from RoamRight. The first time I had the security of being insured but fortunately had no incident that required making a claim. My most recent trip had to be canceled for medical reasons suffered by my companion. I was more than pleased by the way the claim was handled. The claim adjuster was incredibly understanding of the circumstances, available for my questions and prompt in handling the claim. My next trip will again be insured by RoamRight.

Our flight was canceled and RoamRight reimbursed us in full for all of our expenses: food, hotel, travel and necessities. I was very impressed with the service I received. I rarely purchase travel insurance and had never submitted a claim. Based on this experience, I will purchase insurance from them again.

Thailand was under their military coup after I arrived in Bangkok on Tuesday. It was total shutdown of TV news, internet, evening
outings. For me to call the US embassy for information was necessary. They rely on the internet to communicate with us, which was useless. I realize now we were helpless to change our travel plans because our travel insurance doesn't cover these emergencies caused by a foreign government. I would have shortened my trip to Thailand and returned to South Korea. Also, a warning about check in luggage at Bangkok airport is to use the luggage wrapping service which costs 150 baht. Nothing was missing from my luggage. I haven't traveled in a couple of years. I was totally unfamiliar with the places and modes of transportation on this trip. Next time I will do my research before going. Thank you.

However, they do offer 24/7 Worldwide Assistance Services by calling 443-279-7335. When taking trips in the past I always declined travel insurances provided by the cruise line offered it because it always seemed to be cost prohibitive. Plus the fact my husband always felt we could afford to take the gamble. It was not until this past September that we booked a Disney Cruise to take our entire family of 10 that I felt having to book so far in advance and with 3 families involved and with such a major expense did I feel we should look into insuring the Disney Cruise. My son happened to come across a site in which InsureMyTrip was mentioned. I called, talked to them and took out the RoamRight Preferred Plan with the advance illness notification. I will always use InsureMyTrip from now on if I decide to take out travel insurance. They were very nice to work with. I like the way the payment plan is set up and it was very reasonable.

This makes the 3rd survey I'm completing as I booked 3 cabins aboard a Disney Cruise Line. After much research and conversation I chose InsureMyTrip/ RoamRight Preferred Plan and could not have been happier. Also saved a lot over what others, including Disney quoted me for insurance.
