I filed a claim and was told it would take 30 days. After 30 days I called to ask the status, and was told all agents were not available and that I would receive a call back in 1 hour. About 4 hours later I received a message that they had called. I called back the next day, and was told that they were working on it. The following day, I received 3 emails. The first was totally illiterate with more misspellings than correct. The second recalled the first, and the third was a repeat of the first. I again called in and was told my claim was incomplete. I was then told it would be escalated to management and that I would hear soon. I asked what that time frame was and was told a "minimum" of two days. I asked what the maximum was and was not given an answer. Amount of the claim is minimal, less than 4% of the total for trip interruption. All of the important things are not even covered, since there are "no receipts" such as frequent flyer mile loss, downgrading to coach from first class, etc. Since their was no outlay, there are no receipts and therefore not covered. Not at all satisfied, would never use them again, and will tell everyone I know.

Had to cancel entire trip (luxury cruise) prior to final payment due to medical condition. No problems getting refund from AXA and customer service was good.

We buy this plan every time we leave the country. So far we have not had to use it, but we feel good that we will be covered it something comes up. It is more reasonable than other plans we have looked at with the same coverage , and everyone I have talked with at the company has been very helpful.

Thankfully, we had no reason to file any claims. For this reason, we have no experience with the underlying insurer. The policy appeared competitively priced for the coverages we wanted.

This travel plan was expensive and I have no confidence at all that if needed, AXA would actually help us or pick up expenses. I need to rethink whether I need travel insurance in the future.

We thank you for your comments. Policy premiums are based on (1) age of travelers, (2) trip cost, and (3) length of trip. Your premium was only 0.059% of your total trip cost which was actually economically priced when compared to other plans with comparable coverage.
We are also happy to hear that your travels were without incident so that you did not need the services of AXA Assistance USA. However, if you had needed their services, you had access to 24 Hour Worldwide Assist Services which would included but was not limited to:
