fortunately we did not have to file a claim for this trip, but I would definitely utilize AXA gold if I were planning another expensive trip. We have had to cancel several trips over the past year, but this was the first one where we had a significant upfront non refundable deposit which we needed to protect, just in case we had more medical issues with my wife.

You really do not know how good the plan is until you file a claim. Fortunately we have not had to file a claim but we feel confident and secure in our travels with the plans.

Fortunately, we did not have to use this insurance. I did find it rather expensive, although I suppose if we had had to use it and it had performed as promised I would not have been concerned about the cost. Of course, like all insurance companies it is all about profit and not necessarily a real service, so it is important to keep that in mind.

This plan provide us a good balance of cost and coverage. However, we did not experience any event that would cause us to file a claim. It was significantly lower in price than the insurance the tour company offered. Insuremytrip makes it easy to compare and purchase insurance.

This plan was easy to buy and reasonably priced. We had purchased a policy for a previous trip to Alaska. We ran into problems when we needed to file a claim on the trip to Australia. The response was slow on our first inquiry and then we were asked for duplicate info. We had two separate claims and both times I had to call customer service to get results. On April 25th for example, I was told that a claim check would be sent in the next 10 to 15 business days. When not received by May 19, I had to call and the check had to be Fedex'd to me. Received on May 22. These delays are unacceptable considering the cost of the policy. I WAS very pleased with your service reps. They were friendly and professional. I particularly commend Ernesto who I talked to on more than one occasion and who always managed to answer my question or solve my problem. Please give him my positive feedback. My husband and I are planning another trip but have chosen to buy ins from another company. I hope this feedback will be helpful.

I really have no idea how to rate this insurance since, fortunately, I did not need to use it. But it is very expensive. I wanted good coverage with no hassle if something went wrong. How can I rate it when I have no idea if it comes through?
