This policy is the first time I actually had to file a claim (for a trip delay situation). The claim website was a little clunky, and I had to call customer service. They warned that there was a backlog, and results would take awhile. During the interval, I received two e-mails saying they were sorry it was taking so long, but finally they alerted me that they were paying out the amount that I had filed for, so I'm happy.

Obtaining insurance was easy and service reps were knowledgeable and helpful. As I added new costs several times since first purchasing the coverage, it was good to deal with excellent customer service representatives. Communication was also very fast in acknowledging updated coverage. Can't speak to filing a claim since none needed. Would use the company again.

After shopping around several agencies, found this insurance and realized the cost of what they offered was reasonable. I read the fine print and I suggest you do, too. Peace of mind after spending thousands of dollars to book overseas trip, airline, prepurchased tickets for events, tours, etc. Literally on the way to the airport, avoided a major auto collision which would have put me in the hospital. Am glad had that insurance, even tho didn't end up having to use it.

Fortunately didn't need to use the policy. Always nice to know we are covered if needed. Our trip was expensive and the price of the policy was in alignment with it, but I thought it was pricey. I choose the coverage so I was in control of the cost. All good.

You don't really know if a plan is good unless you have to use it, and we didn't have to use it. So, This review is simply based on price and ease of purchase, which were good.

The survey isn't exactly an honest account of what the insurance meant to us: i.e. we never had to use it but paid dearly for it and also had, with the HUGE cost of the policy, still some "restrictions" should we have had to use it. I have a great idea, that MIGHT help you get more clients...if someone, like us buys the "covers all/cancel without penalties" policy for over 1200.00 a person, for such a short time...if the client does not use it, then a reimbursement of some kind would be nice...even a small amount otherwise it is pretty expensive.

This was expensive insurance, but it was a high cost trip as it was for a month and in the UK. I was injured prior to the trip and unable to travel. There was A LOT of paper work and I would advise you to be sure to keep excellent record keeping in case you have to file a claim. You will also have to wait if you are renting an accommodation like I was, to see if they can re-rent it before you file your claim to determine if you have any credit. Similarly if you have airline tickets and cancel you may only get taxes paid back so you will need documentation of all of that before filing a claim! Just an FYI.
Everyone I spoke to from the start in customer service about filing the claim was very personable and helpful. Once submitted it did take about a week longer than it stated based on the fact that they were " backed up" however once processed I received the full refund within 48hrs of notification. If I hadn't taken out the insurance I would have lost a lot of money so I would highly recommend buying a comprehensive insurance such as this from C & F Travel Insured International , especially if your trip is oversees.
