unfortunately. I tore my rotator cuff about a month after we booked our trip and had to undergo surgery a few days before we were supposed to depart. Because of the magnitude of the tear the doctor said I would not be able to travel for at least 8 weeks and would have to undergo therapy for about 4 months. Fortunately, we had trip insurance and I was able to get a refund for all 9 of us! Trip insurance is well worth the price. We have been buying it for all our trips in the last 20 years but this is the first time I had to use it. The claim process took about 30 days and I received the check.

WE insured out trip via a link from mousesavers(3rd party Disney Information) site and got an excellent rate from InsureMyTrip. We've used them in the past and will use them in the future, when needed.
