Air travel - particularly with American carriers - has become a nightmare. You can't count on getting where you need to be. Purchasing traveler's insurance is the one thing I can do to exercise some degree of control that if I'm stranded in some airport, I'll have some resources at my disposal. Solid, comprehensive plan at a reasonable price. However, the proof is in response and compensation if a claim is filed and I did not have to file a claim.
