    Although it is true that your plan was certainly not one of the least expensive plans offered to you, the CSA Travel Protection Custom Luxe was one of only two plans that offered coverage for Pre-existing Medical Conditions. Most Comprehensive plans would have provided the Pre-existing Condition Waiver only if you purchased the plan within 10 to 30 days of your Initial Trip Payment. Unfortunately you were more than one month after that first payment when you called. Keep in mind too that you also purchased a plan that was rich in benefit limits since it included $250,000 in Medical (secondary) and $1,000,000 in Emergency Medical Evacuation coverage per person.

    Our recommendation is to call us at 800-487-4722 within 10 days of your first payment for the most competitive pricing.

I had to wait to file my claim until my medical insurance finished its lengthy process and paid almost nothing. Then CSA quickly processed the claim and paid the remainder without any hassle.

I had a minor medical condition while traveling in Ecuador which required help from a physician. CSA Travel arranged for me to visit a local hospital and authorized the staff there to provide care up to my plan's medical limit with no out-of-pocket expense for me. Very pleased with the service they provided.

I cannot review the policy we purchased as we did not use any of the services or file a claim. Our luggage was lost on the way to Ecuador, but was delivered to us in two days. We could have filed a claim after 24 hours, but chose not to purchase replacement items for at least two days in case the luggage showed up.
