I almost had a scare and thought that I might have kidney stones. Called the plan and was assured that if need be I can go to ER and all will be covered. I would have to cash out and submit the claim. I think that it assured me that all was good and the kidney stones "magically" went away.... I am glad to have this as an insurance!

The coverage was good and the claim was handled fairly in my opinion.

The processing time was too long. It was received on January 17th and we did not receive compensation until March 9th.

When you charge for insurance even when coverage starts 8 months out, you want your money immediately. Cash flow is also important to the customer.

6% of the Total cost of the trip is pretty expensive.
2 months is a long time to wait for reimbursement.
MUST CALL rather than track your claim online ....customer service representatives are quite competent and willing to assist!
I believe the settlement was very fair. Just be aware that booking fees and cancellation fees incurred with a wholesaler (in this case United Cruises) are not covered. Our uncovered amount was only $125.00. I would suggest booking directly with a cruise line or airline in order not to incur these charges.

The claim procedure was ridiculous. The forms asked for silly things such as show proof of payment for the insurance policy itself and show proof of payment for the cost of the cruise I went on. This was a MEDICAL claim for services while on a cruise ship.

The time to process the claim was so frustrating. They received the completed information from me on Jan. 23, 2017. I received my payment on March 4. It took them 5 days just to make a file and then more time to submit it to "claims dept."
All my forms were complete and they did not need to contact me for more info. So, why so long? Just frustrating. The end result of my claim was fair and accurate.
