Our trip to Cuba was plagued by problems that included delayed and cancelled flights that forced us to stay overnight at the DFW airport in both directions. In addition, luggage was lost and did not arrive in Cuba until five days into a one-week trip.
The claims process was very demanding; despite sending in 30 pages of documentation, the adjuster kept asking for more. In the end, using numerous loopholes, the company got out of paying us much at all -- essentially we got about the price of the policy, while remaining out of pocket for approximately $2000. I would not use this company again.

Thank you for your review. Although
it is unfortunate that all expenses were not fully reimbursed, your claim representative at Nationwide Mutual
did follow the policy wording and paid the claim accordingly. Please also note that InsureMyTrip publishes the certificate for every policy on our website and encourages our customers to review the policy terms and conditions and call us with any questions.
Thank you for your review. The policy you purchased does offer Trip
Delay coverage, but it is a Secondary benefit. Secondary coverage will pay you after any other Primary collectible insurance has paid the claim and the Primary policies' limits have been exhausted. Most of the plans offered on InsureMyTrip will have Trip Delay as a secondary benefit, and this will be shown on the comparison page and confirmation email. In the future, please feel free to call us at 800-487-4722 and we can assist you with going over benefits and how the plans work. We look forward to assisting you.
It was a Good Deal for the Price , However Due to a Permit Issue with the Mexican FAA We were forced to Fly a much smaller Airplane back to Ensanada Mex Not to TJ Mex, had to ride a Bus to the Boarder.
Not sure the insurance would have even covered That? But I do like doing Business with this Company.

Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you enjoy doing business with Nationwide.
In order to have coverage under Travel Delay, you would have to experience a minimum of a 6 hour delay that resulted in "Additional Expenses (which) means any reasonable expenses for meals and lodging as well as local transportation and essential phone calls that were necessarily incurred as the result of a Hazard and that were not provided by the Common Carrier or other party free of charge."
If your situation did involve a 6 hour delay resulting in "Additional Expenses", you may wish to file a claim with Nationwide:
Although not all our expenses incurred were covered, we were reimbursed most of what we paid out of pocket due to multi day air travel delays. We chose the most economical hotels for our overnights and did not splurge on meals. In fact we did not submit lunch or breakfast receipts for the first day. The cost of the plan was certainly worth it.
